[NTLK] OT: iMac+digital recorder software

Hi All:
Trying my luck here. Apologies in advance for this unnecessary piece of
email.
Just wondering if anyone has software which would enable a connection
between an Olympus VN-240 PC digital voice recorder (
http://www.olympus-europa.com/consumer/2581_VN-240_PC.htm) and an iMac
running OSX 10.3.9. While various Olympus websites—in the US, Europe, and
Asia—trumpet the fact that their devices are mac-compatible, no such
software for Macs exist. If no other software workaround is available, do I
simply turn on the recorder and play the sound file in real time while
letting Audacity capture it in MP3 format?
