That may be true, but I've never had a dropped line with my cig-case
fax, (the only fax/modem I've ever used that I could say that about)
and I've sent multi-page faxes from Poland to the US faster with it
than with my Pismo's built-in 56bd fax/modem. (and the faxes sent from
my Newton were more complicated, with handwritten annotations, etc.
