[NTLK] serial adapters

Hi. Thanks for the tips on getting my emate hooked up to Windows XP at work.
I have a keyspan serial adapter that works in both places.
I got another one (for cheap... ) it's a PL2303. I have installed the right drivers for both XP and OS 10.4.
But my emate doesn't connect using the PL2303 adapter on either machine. It works like a charm with the Keyspan though.
Any thoughts?
