O.K., so the subject sounds a little mis-leading, but the idea shouldn't be discounted.
How? Think about this:
1) A PCMCIA ethernet card in your Newton
2) An Ethernet Wireless Access Point (similar to a Motorola WA840G) configured as a Wireless Client
3) Connect the Newton via Ethernet to the WAP using DHCP
You have essentially created a WPA2-PSK Wireless to Ethernet Bridge for your Newton. Admittantly, a little un-wieldy and more wires than wireless... But it does open up the wireless spectrum a little more now, doesn't it?
