Yes I have, though I don't use a Belkin but something from a German
company called DeLOCK:

It also connects an antique analogue modem to my iMac, soon to be
replaced by an equally antique analogue modem, which can be handled
better by CoMa X:

One issue I have with serial is that NCX regularly crashes when I try
to export Notes from the Newt (I told Simon already about this).
Exporting Works files and installing packages works fine though.
