A Linksys SGE2000 gigabit switch. Local echo is off (otherwise when I
type I get duplicate letters).

After rebooting the switch, I see all the bootup info (decompressing
image, blah blah blah) and I get to the login screen. That's where I'm
stuck. I've tried manually entering in the username and password as
well as setting the session username & password and using the menu
item "send username" and "send password" and no way seems to work.
It's as if the data isn't sent to the switch.

Haven't tried using a "real" laptop yet...
