Hi Simon,

would it be possible to have some kind of plug-in system for NCX which
would allow us to write interpreters for converting certain soups into
desktop formats and back?

Nothing fancy. I am thinking about a location within the app bundle
that holds plug-ins (or simple command line executables). They could
be named after a soup, for example, for easy finding. You could then
just popen() the executable and pipe the data in as a NSOF and write
the result back to wherever it was originally meant to go.

I imagine a converter from Notes to PDF. That way we would support
text and line drawings in a single document. And there are even a few
PDF editors out there, so transporting PDF back to Notes would be an
option as well... .
