XP has some issues with how NCU handles com ports. I don't know of anyone that uses XP straight up with NCU successfully. Some people use one or more instances of Slowdown.exe running at the same ime as NCU. I never had much luck with that. I use the virtual machine software (free from Microsoft) with an instance of Win98SE loaded. This works great for me. I can run NCU for copying files, import export, etc. I can also run NTK for software development. I also run the IIS web server on my XP box. I use it to host files locally. Then using Newtscape I can download pkg files to my newton over my local network. That is the method I use most often to just load a quick file like a Newton book I have just downloaded or created. Give these things a try. If you need more help, just let us know.

My problem is that I can't transfer particular files with NCU to an
internal storage, due to the size limitations or something, however, I
can transfer them to my flash card. All I get is a message from Newton
that my PC closed the connection or something like this in the middle of
transfer. I got a PC with Windows XP installed. Thanks in advance.
