if you've got an expired version of Newt's Cape
(this often happens when someone (a previous owner) had loaded an
eval version a l-o-n-g time ago)
one workaround (besides a brain wipe) is to set your system clock
back (to before that date) before starting Newt's Cape.
after you've had a chance to evaluate, you can still register -- and
receive an unexpiring version.
