I've got orders for 2x00 battery rebuilds coming in right now to my
place in Orlando.
I'm using 2500 mAh NiMH cells in the replacement process.
I thought I was going to be able to crack the case, replace the cells,
bond the halves together and make it look like OEM, but the 2500 mAh
cells are about 0.7mm thicker diameter than the original cells, so I
have to figure out a way to accommodate the extra cell volume.
For those of you who want OEM looking packs, I can replace the older
cells with 1800 mAh NiMH cells, that fit perfectly, but you'll
probably want to have the extended run time with the larger cells.
Cost is $60 each, or $55 each for 3 or more. I'm including the cost of
the cells in the $60. You pay for shipping one way. I need to put this
on the wiki...shoot, I just checked, and it's already there.
BTW, anyone shipping batteries, be very careful to tape them up and
wrap them up so the contacts can't short out--even if you know they're
dead. Also, don't send them via air, just to be safe.
