Anyone remember Quicktime interactive ?
Wow, that was perhaps one of Apple's biggest missed opportunities.

The executive summary was that QTi allowed you to publish Hypercard
stacks as Quicktime movies.
Since any browser could pretty much display Quicktime, any browser
could 'run' Hypercard.
To this day, I have no idea why Apple dropped it. I saw it at Apple
and WWDC and it was simply incredible.
The subsequent version of Hypercard was slated to use Quicktime as
it's container format. It added all kinds of Adobe Flash like features.
It would not surprise me to hear that Adobe had some part in its
unexplained extinction.
