Cool. I'm glad to hear you're able to hang onto your
tried-and-true eMate after all. Buying used computing
gear can be an "adventure" and sometimes, with all the
tire-kicking involved, it's an "adventure" you just
don't need.
I'm impressed with your having a spare AC adapter on
hand. It must have been a very pleasant surprise to
find that the necessary "repair" was as easy as
swapping out AC adapters. :D
