search the archives for discussion.
But huge amounts of memory for the Newton come at a price. Every
installed package takes up some amount of your precious system memory
and increases the time needed to catalogue in extras. again search

I find 32 MB to be quite enough. Actually I use a 24MB and a 20MB in
my 2100 with the 20 removed for a communications card as needed.
The eMate is more difficult since its internal memory needs to be
carefully managed so that a flash card can be easily removed for using
a communications card WiFi in my case.
