I have been successful doing a full backup, installing packages, and
playing with typing on my PowerBook's keyboard while the text shows up
on the Newton 2100, using:
The Newton's Dock program
The Notwen.com USB dongle
The program NCX
I haven't tested NCX on a MacBook since I don't have one, but it works
like a charm on the PowerBook. I had no problems with it once I got the
USB dongle in the mail, just installed the usb/serial drivers,
installed NCX, told it to use /dev/newton as its serial port, and
connected. Easy as pie.
