If we as a group were to start throwing money around, I'd want to throw it
at the guys who started the Waba effort. After doing some digging on my own
(and pestering the original devs), it looks like fully implemented
(Super)Waba would
1. Make a lot of "Palm apps" available on the Newton.
2. Allow conversion of some just-do-what-I-need Java code (even applets) to
the Newton.
3. Provide possible alternatives to things written in
NSBasic/NewtScript/etc. If there is one type of app that is Newt-Native,
there are probably six in Java or Waba.
4. Make it easier for enthusiasts like me that can code Java to jump into
development quickly.

I would love to learn how to program for the newton,
but i have NO programing skills at all. that will be
the hard part is to learn how to program for the
newton with not knowing how to program.

it would be nice to teack people how to do it to bring
in new blood (so to speak) to help keep software
working and to gain new software. i know that the
newton is capable of doing even more then it is doing
now.
