thanks! this is exactly what i was trying to remember!

so, no keyboard ever surfaced (prototype or otherwise)? maybe it's
time i tried to make one myself. i have a couple of the serial
keyboards, and a couple of "for parts" emates that might be put to the
task. it'd be nice to see what could be made of a new newton "netbook"
- the combination of an mp2000s speed and expandability, with the
emate's built-in keyboard.
