[NTLK] Cannot Serial Sync

I have a (new to me) MP 2100 with the SER001 modification. I can't connect
to my PowerBook (with Newton Connection Utilities) over the serial port. Can
anyone throw me a clue as to why? I don't think it's on the Mac side because
the serial connection works OK with an eMate and a MP2100 with the serial
dongle.
 

Getting desperate - I can't sync!
