Beside myself there were at least two people who had posted instruction of
how they converted a Battery Tray to charge NiMH AA Cells.
Daniel and a German gentleman I happen to come across through an internet
search.
I was thinking of a variation of my modification to make the process easier.
The prototype in the photos is my preferred setup because it makes it look
like a stock battery tray. But the melding of the contacts from the
rechargeable pack is difficult and I do not have professional tools or
facility to manufacture it. A modified variation could be done more simply
and quickly. I just have not the time or resources now to put towards this.
Why don't you give it a try by following the instructions.
