And something I've promoted on this list in the past (together with my
"scalable" computer). Interesting to see how Apple acknowledges how
people have already done this, but it also makes me think of the union
soup concept from the Newton. If they combined the portable user
data/account with data on the internal, in a union soup concept or
union file system (which Puppy Linux and the eeePC make excellent use
of), you might actually get the device of my dreams. I'm surprised,
actually, to see Apple moving forward on this.... sigh.... when, when,
when???
