Hello all:

Some of you may know, I am writing a book on the Newton.

I have that rare book on order: Appledesign: The Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group by Paul Kunkel and Rick English (Paperback - Oct 1, 1997)

This is 'the' book in terms of giving me the information I need for those Newton prototypes Sonny and I were talking about. I have most of the prototypes sorted out but a few remain nameless. This book features many Newton prototypes, and many other prototypes that are not readily accessible.

Having just ordered and signed out pretty much all of the books about Apple, Jobs and Sculley, I am finding that while the web has been good for info on Newton and Apple and Apple history, it is so disjointed, complete with errors and dead links that books are the best way to research this stuff. I hope that my book will clarify some things and provide people with a resource to rely on. Anybody know Steve Capps' telephone number? ;)

Actually, I am looking to do some interviews (video online). On my hit list (ambitious I know):

Larry Yaeger
Steve Capps
Steve Jobs
Walter Smith
Andy Herzfeld
Michael Tchao
Steve Sakoman
Jean Louis Gassée
John Sculley

Any of these individuals can feel free to contact me anytime if they are interested, noting their preferred time.

Thank you,
