I did that. Except I also pulled the rings to make room for a spare battery.
It makes a very professional and handsome case for the Newton.
Years ago I attend a Franklin Time Management Seminar. I was a dedicated
Franklin till I got my first Newton, a 120 2.0. But I digress. The Franklin
method says that you have only one calendar. And I have lived by that rule
even with my Newton. All of my sync work has been merely to make an east way
to give my wife a copy of what is in my Newton so she knows what my plans
are. So I had no need for the paper calendar.

Anyone out there converted a 5.5" x 8.5" DayRunner

into a Newton case?
A little vertical cut first, then a little velcro here, a little velcro
there...
I like the idea of a both paper calendar and the Newton together.
