No, you misunderstand me, and, i presume, others. What we are opposed
to is the tablet is portrayed by you and others. This is not the
tablet I expect Apple to release when it ever does release it. If you
are expecting this, and no other, then prepare to be disappointed. You
are thinking last generation. Apple's appliance (which, I believe, in
keeping with their recent history), will not fulfill expecations. My
complaints about tablets (and others' here) have to do with the
limitations of the form factor as it stands. As I said, I would be
less surprised to see something completely outside the normal tablet
device, yet it will be instantly considered essential. The iPhone was
like this. It did _not_ fulfill expectations, but created entirely new
ones (as I foretold). ;-) People were expecting a Newton with a phone
(pen-based, with all its limitations), and Apple gave us direct touch,
and multi-touch. It gave us a phone essentially without an OS. Not at
all what people expected.
I refuse to place expectations on any new Apple device. And I don't
expect them to create a netbook. I will happily use my Wind until I no
longer can. ;-)
