Dear Tim

Very warm welcome to Newtontalk. I too have an MP2000 and an eMate but
use XP so am not versed in linking with a mac.

You are likely to need a USB to serial adapter and I believe the
favourite with mac users is a keyspan. There are other options see
newton faqs below.

A good source of info is the List Archive, you can search for topics and
invariably someone has come across the problem before.
Here is the link if you don't know already: Click on 'searchable
archive' and enter mac usb or something like that and there will be
loads of hints:

Simon Bell's package NCX is probably your best bet in transferring stuff
to and from your Newton. Check out:

Also there's lots of useful info on:
http://www.splorp.com/newton/faq/
http://tools.unna.org/wikiwikinewt/
http://www.unna.org/

Hope these are of some help and if you have any questions just ask,
members of the list are very happy to help.

There's no such thing as a silly question.

Hope you enjoy your eMate an MP2000.

Andy
