Enough already with the foolish dreamer talk -- jut fix the damn thing already.
Do you really believe there are any potential legal ramifications to reverse engineering or otherwise hacking on the Newton?
I think not!? Apple doesn't care, and you guys shouldn't act like timid mice, afraid to muck around.
After 2010, what's really affected? Aside from issues with calendars, the rest of the Newton functionality should be just fine -- eBooks, basic note-taking, games, sending simple faxes -- you're golden.
If somebody comes up with a fix for the 2010 issue, that's great.
If not, you'll just have to use a laptop or something for your calendar-based records.
