unobtrusive they don't even notice it, it seems.

With Writepad Notes or one of the hwr note apps available for iphone you could probably do the same thing especially if you have one of the stylus available now. Of course none of the apps I've seen are as nice as the newt for notes organization but that wants part of the challenge ;-P
