I just tested for myself and can confirm your experience.
So after a few resets and still failure I froze the two add ons reset
again, the thawed them. Alls well and was able to access Google.
This is inconvenient.

Left Nethopper on internal store and moved extensions to external
Linear flash. Reset and no problem.
