In the meantime, I tried to go through SMTP from my desktop, which gave me
the same results. Gmail is clearly dropping the messages from oneself coming
through the list when they're already in the Sent folder.
This sucks, not only because they won't get redirected, but also because
while Gmail itself is able to group them correctly into threads, another
client will not do that because of the missing "[NTLK]" part in the subject
(I'm now using POP with Entourage, to at least get all messages).
Is it okay to manually add the "[NTLK]" part to the subject of one's own
mails that initiate a thread? This could somehow solve the threading
problem.
A different email address isn't really an option, because almost all
freemailers don't allow automatic redirect, unlike Google.
