I'm leaving on a 2 week trip tomorrow, May 17th, so I HOPE there will be
an answer by the time I get back. I've already paid my registration but
all I ever received to follow-up requests is either an "I'll get back to
you" or deafening silence. If ANYONE knows what is going on, please let
us know.

When I get back next month, I'll probably just make a reservation at a
reasonably priced hotel in Vancouver.
