Grant's ref to Daniel's instructions will work w/ the mic circuitry.  Make sure that you are using a mono jack w/ a contact breaker, not a stereo jack.  No need to drill a hole in your case unless you are using the covered hole to the right of the serial port.

OT: 2100 screen cracked this morning (meteor shower casualty).  Does anyone have a very good condition replacement FS?
