[NTLK] CNET: Newton verses iPhone

There's a simple reason why the Newton won the contest and continues to win comparison contests. It's a real pocket computer while the iPhone is just that, a phone that can do other things. The Newton today does things that it was never designed to do, runs applications that weren't thought of when it was being sold, and manages to communicate on networks that didn't exist when it was built. It's still an amazing product when you think about it. It's like having a 60 year old Ford that can run successfully against a current model, and do it better. Apple would do well to continue the legacy with an updated product in the Newton line. Just my $.02 worth.
