DOS was CP/M compatible. And CP/M was so popular Microsoft actually made an expansion card for the Apple ][ so it could run it.

Windows 1.01 was released sometime in November 1985. In 1987 was Windows 2.x, which was later renamed Windows/286 after a 386 version was released.

Then how can you explain I'm still primarily a Windows user despite having used several Macintoshes?
