[NTLK] IRDA port

I followed the steps on MyAppleNewton.blogspot about sending packages via infrared and my computer recognizes the Newt but then the connection is immediatly lost and my Newton says "Beaming Error". Any ideas? I'm running Windows 2000 BTW
