When I tried to redirect my swapfile to a directory on my SD card (as the SD card seems faster then the SSD) it actually created a file on the SSD with the directory name that I used because I made a typo and it didn't find the SD card. If you try redirection to disable swapping I'd search to be sure its shut down as I think it'll just try to make files (or at least that's my experience). Dynamic_pager is like a weed, it keeps trying to find a way!
