Hey Brett,

Let me just say that if you are using them in a regular MP2x00 Battery Tray
then just charge them outside in the charger.
However if you happen to be using a Modified Battery Tray then charge them
in the MP2x00.
At least in my opinion I've been using them in a Modified Battery Tray with
2400mAh NiMH AA Cells and have not experienced any issues.
This was used in about 2-3 MP2x00's.
Plus I sold another Rev. 2 version to another list member and have not heard
them have any reports of issues. Can they speak up if they have time.

I would not expect you to be referencing about a re-celled Rechargeable
Pack, right? ;-)
Using a Modified Battery Tray is a bit rare as there are only a few out
there to my knowledge. Plus Frank would highly warn their use in case the
wrong type of cell were used in them (the Regular AA Alkaline type).

Some might voice the age of the Newton which might eventually fail. But I
have not heard one instance that's 100% caused by this. Though some may
suggest it was. And if so I have a few extra Main Boards so it's not a
problem for me.
