Rick, no apologies needed as far as I'm concerned.  I couldn't have said it
better -- and I've tried.

And your description makes it all a little clearer, especially the analogy
with tools.  If a joiner or a plumber showed up at my door and only had one
tool in his hand, I'd be worried, no matter how slick that one tool is.

But I confess, I still want the iPad to be more than it is before I'll get
one.  :-D
