Even though I take that as 'intended as jest', I am a 'full-blooded capitalist' who is self-employed and makes it a practice to never profit solely from another's suffering.  I also believe that I should not suffer at another's gain, even indirectly, as I have the responsibility of providing income for my family.

Making a profit is a requisite of staying in operation ... with the noted exception of governments, of course, where you can just print (or collect in taxes, or take by 'eminent domain') what you need (or want) at the time.
