Wow. I don't recall reading about people bashing the Newton who never owned on, I must of missed this thread. I am surprised that anyone who does not own a Newton or want to own a Newton to be subscribing to the list as it would be a big waste of time for them.
Alas, my 3 Newtons are loved and I want them to keep working so I finally gave up the gamut on the 2100 and retired him a few years ago. Yes, I will become an iPad owner but still love the essence of the Newton. For now it is as close as I can get with an Apple product. Apple = quality to me so I won't consider another hardware platform.

Even though an iPad is about to be ordered and I have a 3GS, I just couldn't go on hearing people bash the Newton upon the iPad release from people who never even saw one. What I'm going to do with it, I have no idea. It really is in between the two products, just as its size suggests. More useful than an iPhone in terms of screen and interface, but the iPad has a more lapop-like use.
