[NTLK] Problem Setting Up Ethernet Card

I've struggled MIGHTILY with internet connectivity and my MP2100...after downloading, printing and studying many different sources, I was able to get both ethernet (cabled) and wireless to work.

1) Are you using a Generic Setup?
2) use the Ethernet choice, not LocalTalk
3) You say you are using DHCP...do you have a WEP password enabled? if so, try disabling it until you get connected. (WPA won't work as an encryption method, BTW.)
4) Do you have a Firewall enabled? Try disabling that until you get connected.
5) Skip all that he says about TCP/IP and AppleTalk...you shouldn't need any of that.

Are you using a router? If so, which?
