sorry, I was a bit cheeky

  You must restart at normal speed though this depends on the  
Particular Newton.  I have installed accelerated crystals on several  
of each 2100 and emate.  Many do not seem to have this problem.  In  
fact in past discussions it seems that some Newts can handle greater  
acceleration.  But have found problems when using chips greater than 5  
Mghtz.
