Thanks for your clarification Grant. I'm sorry to ask an awkward question;
really, I just wanted to clarify that it's still an open topic. My own
interest was/is the need for defining what might or might not be
"abandonware". As I see it this would be the first and necessary step to
any kind of proxy registration, should we decide it's an acceptable means to
meet the needs of both my problem).
I take your point about quelling the potential for hsotility as well. To my
mind this would be bad for the cameraderie of one of the best and nicest --
I mean that word in its best sense -- groups on the web. But I do think it
would be good for us to reach a public consensus on how to identify and list
those Newton apps for which we will try to find an alternative mechanism of
access.
I guess we'll work it out -- NewtonTalk seems capable of almost anything.
