But it still wows them. I was just at the user's conference for the software
company I work for. We were showing a new Netbook mini field client and a
new iPhone mini client. But everyone stopped and looked at what I was doing,
even some of our third party partners, when I pulled out my Newton to WRITE
down some customers' comments. Even though I now carry a Palm for my dates
and contacts, anytime I'm going to need to take notes, the Newton is brought
out. Some people here are trying to carry less and I understand that but I
carry the best device for the job at hand and that means more than one
device. Look in my messenger bag and you will find:

Newton MP2000upg for note taking, drawing, sky map, some ebooks
Nokia 770 internet tablet for web browsing, email, spreadsheets, gps maps,
some ebooks
Palm Zire M150 for Dates, contacts, shopping lists
Samsung Gleam flip phone just makes calls
Nintendo DS for games, Bible reading, MP3's, videos, photo album

Ya, try writing on your Newton on a busy Tram. You need 2 hands for that,
and you won't be holding onto anything. Face first...
