Also of note: Newton .pkg files don't open on the Mac/win pc, you simply send/install them to the newt with your connection utility of choice. (just in case you were trying to open a .pkg file on the Mac)

If you are using NCX and successfully connecting with your Newton try
downloading Packager.

and drop the downloaded package on its Icon.
Another problem is that NCX does not know whether the app is
compatible with the version of Newton os you are using, therefor if
you attempt to instal an 1.3 pkg to a 2.x device it will simply freeze.
