You can print or fax pages.
You can backup them.
You can copy their text.
You can annotate them... with handwriting and sketches!
You can make your own books, and convert existing ones.
You can use standard AA batteries. (Although they do not last as long as on dedicated readers)
And on some models there's even a backlight.
