The connector was available from Hirose (I believe) a while back, I know this because I bought about 300.

There is very little room behind your slot car(d). You have to use a number 2 (I believe) thread forming screw to hold the board down, but if the head of the screw is too big it will cause the back of the case to crack (anybody have this??? a show of hands please).

There is no documentation for the shape of the board, but you can figure out the parameters by taking a newt apart, use a micrometer to measure everything and do a sketch. Watch out for the capacitors that stick up.

You will find that most of your components will have to go on the underside of your board because the back spacing is so small. Watch out for the capacitors that stick up.
