Sorry folks ... I'm awfully late to this thread, but I appreciate the  
call out.

Reading through the various replies, I think the topic of Arial has  
been sufficiently beaten to death.

Frankly, neither Arial, Helvetica, nor any other non-humanist sans  
serif face should be considered for lengthy chunks of body text.

But that's just one man's opinion.
