Matt Howe if your daughter lives near an Apple Store tell her to get an iMac. You can't get a better bargain, and all of the models will suite her needs. If she lives far from an Apple Store and getting service is a problem she should go with something more portable like a MacBook Pro, Mac mini or even the plastic MacBook. All will meet her needs, but performance will not come at the same value.
