Hello, Dennis:
Mine arrived the other day and I had it in in 10 minutes. (I
thought about taking pictures, but forgot to do so in my rush to try and
get it done.) The four phillips screws on my '2000 came out easily
enough, and the case came apart without the use of any tools. it took
some time to work it apart, but although I am naturally a bit
ham-fisted, I got it done without doing harm (my first rule when working
on electronics). The usb board snaps in place easily, mating to the
open connector you'll see on the first try. The square port cover came
of easily, and the unit went back together without srious issue, and
booted up as if nothing had happened. (I am waiting on delivery of the
driver software to test the usb port's operations, so I cannot report on
that yet.)
In summary, most anyone should be able to do this in 10 minutes or
less with a phillips screwdriver. I hope that this information is helpful.
Regards,
