[NTLK] Newton Connection Tools and Win 7

Hi everyone,

I am a proud owner of a mint Messagepad 130 for a  week now and, well, I like it a lot :~) There is one issue though.

I am an Windows 7 X64 user and did connect the Newton to my Win computer via serial-to-USB adapter. I also bought a copy of Newton Connection Tools for Windows. 

The application is running very well and I was able to connect the two devices very easily and did install software and so on. Backup is also running. 

There is a problem though. The Application doesnt find its own backup and as it is running from the backup, not from the actual data on the device, its not possible to import or export notes or sync with outlook etc.

I spoke to the developer (Andy) regarding this and he said that he will try to look into it but doesnt have much time at the moment.

Is anyone using Newton Coonection Tools for Windows on a Win 7 machine and experiencing similar difficulties? If so, any help or hints how to solve the issue would be highly appreciated, as using the Messagepad without the ability to export notes is crippling the whole concept pretty much.
