I agree with using SBM...

Alternately, you could create a folder on your computer with whatever files/packages you wanted on the other card so you could eject one, install a blank card, and install the ones from that folder.

Yeah that doesn't address the settings issue, but couldn't you just create a note with whatever settings you're after?
