[NTLK] Newton Screen Protector?

I just found a Newton MessagePad 130 at a garage sale, and I noticed that
the screen didn’t look right. There are some patches in what may be a
screen protector, but I am not sure. Would anybody have any ideas on what
this may be and what I can do to fix it?
